Other : * Out of date turtle articles abound, mainly taxonomy issues, get a list here and scroll down for articles. Taxonomy information is available in WikiProject Turtles resources.
- {{Extinct turtles}} and fossil forms of both living and extinct turtles requires attention:many extinct articles require either expansion or creation and sources seems hard to come by. A list of fossil forms is being compiled so progress can be charted.
- Patrol: recent changes to turtle articles and check for improvements or errors.

About merge proposal edit

It has been over a year since the merge was proposed and no-one has discussed it.

Merge. I'm not a turtle expert, but having two separate articles will cause confusion for some users. At the least, Crossochelys should be mentioned as a synonym in the first paragraph.--Quisqualis (talk) 22:37, 2 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

In the introduction it says "Arthur Smith Woodward classified it as being in the genus Meiolania, which this genus name is an anagram of, but this was not accepted by later authors." However, Niolamia is not a complete anagram of Meiolania - missing an 'e' in the name (or was the original genus name spelled differently?).
