What is its electrical conductivity when not a superconductor
editWhat is its electrical conductivity when not a superconductor ? Is it a semiconductor or an insulator ? - Rod57 (talk) 08:39, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- Resistivity : Polycrystalline thin films ~ 150 μ Ω cm, and "...in terms of this model gives a value p(300K)=57 μ Ω cm for the intragrain(bulk) resistivity of our NbN films,"[1] = 5.7 x 10^-7 Ω m ?
- Resistivity Seems to be similar to manganese, nichrome, stainless steel, mercury ie. metallic ! ? - Rod57 (talk) 10:59, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
Unusual superconductor
editCan we say : Was this the first nitride found to superconduct ? Who did this ? Was it predicted or an accidental discovery ? - Rod57 (talk) 08:39, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
Synthesis - Thin films
editCan we mention various ways to form this compound? eg Thin films made (on what substrates?) by various types of Sputter deposition eg magnetron sputtering : 2016 , or room temperature ion beam assisted sputtering (IBAS) [2] - Rod57 (talk) 11:15, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
- Is it reactive sputtering using a niobium target and nitrogen sputtering gas ? ...
- Details for " dc reactive magnetron sputtering using a mixture of argon and nitrogen" : Anodization-based process for the fabrication of all niobium nitride Josephson junction structures - Rod57 (talk) 12:17, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
Dead Link-MSDS
editThe MSDS link is dead. Can we get a new SDS link? Is there some way for Wikipedia to archive MSDSs so this doesn't keep happening? Vkacey (talk) 15:04, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
