Assessment

edit

After looking at some of the other b-rated articles, I feel like this one is at least to that point. It's almost a shame it hasn't been assessed sooner. The importance scale I think is mid, as it's very relevant to the Native American culture, even if it doesn't cover a large geographic area. Jaromhuff21 (talk) 03:00, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm flattered, but I can't agree with your assessment. I don't think it meets all of the B-Class criteria, particularly 2, 3, and 5. I think it still needs a lot of expansion. The lead is very short, not really a proper lead yet. It doesn't summarize the article itself. There should be much more in the History section. The article also needs one or more sections on the canyon's natural history, geology, flora and fauna. And although I haven't seen a infobox specifically for canyons and gorges, this article could really use an infobox. What this article really needs is not praise, but help. I've tried to attract attention to it on WikiProject Utah, but no one has worked on it but me yet. I'm not good enough to get this article where it needs to be on my own. I've been meaning to do a complete rewrite of the Current issues section, which needs reorganization and updating, particularly about Bill Barrett Corporation's recent activities, but it's a daunting task. I have a couple of good sources to use; I'll get around to it. I'd just really like some help from better editors. Ntsimp (talk) 04:39, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Fair enough, I can see all those points. If you don't mind the help, I'll see what I can add, but definitely defer to you since she's kind of your baby.Jaromhuff21 (talk) 15:33, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
