Talk:Nilkamal Plastics

Largest company edit

This page currently claims that Nikamal is "Asia's largest processor of plastic moulded products", without citation. The page for Supreme Industries currently claims that "Supreme Industries Ltd is India's largest plastic processor based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India." and has two references for this statement (one their own website, and the other Indiacatalog.com, a source whose reliability I am not equipped to evaluate). Both are clearly significant, notable companies in the field of plastic furniture, but they can't both be the largest. Something's got to give. --HighFlyingFish (talk) 23:17, 6 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

@HighFlyingFish:Nilkamal is the larger entity. The reference for the same was at the end of the paragraph, which I have now moved up. The references for Supreme's claim are sourced from their own website and from a non reliable source. And if you remember, in the deletion discussion, I had mentioned that Nilkamal has the largest market share and had cited a reference for that. So I think that the mention of Supreme being the largest company should be either removed or tagged for needing a better source. Jupitus Smart 04:19, 7 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed Merger edit

I propose that @home be merged into this article as a section and redirected. The brand is not notable in its own right, only as part of Nikamal. --HighFlyingFish (talk) 23:21, 6 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Merge. If Nilkamal needs so much arguing to stay alive, I don't think @home has any chance, and therefore is better of as a mention in the Nilkamal article. Jupitus Smart 04:21, 7 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
