This article doesn't cover much, but what it does cover should be called "Night bombING", not "night bombER". It's about the development of night bombing as a tactic, not about aircraft designed to bomb at night. None of the aircraft used for night bombing during WWII were DESIGNED as night bombers. They were day bombers used at night, and they could easily perform missions during the day. The RAF began the war with a policy of attacking during daylight, but quickly switched to nights, and suffered terrible accuracy because they weren't prepared or equipped properly for the mission. The only aircraft that can possibly be considered "night bombers" are the WWI bombers, and maybe the F-117 and B-2. Maybe. All others are all-weather aircraft, which can bomb night and day. That's how I ended up here, because there is an article about "all-weather fighters", but nothing about night-capable attack aircraft or bombers. But this article wouldn't help much, even if it was properly titled..45Colt 19:29, 21 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
