Don't think he could have gone walkies in a place like Tibet. It's huge and sparsely populated. He wouldn't have survived for more than 2 days in Tibet. Just imagine, a boy aged 13 leaves his homeland for 15 years, then returned to it, and could still speak its language (in fact several of its languages) fluently and eloquently.
