RANKING Edit

Nick Diaz is now universally ranked in the top 3 post-UFC 137. Aside from Sherdog, MMAWeekly & USA Today wherein he's #3, he's ranked #2 across all rankings.

Untitled thread

There's been some attention to this page since the hospital brawl, which I guess is good. I edited out the part about Riggs getting knocked out, because I listened to both fighters versions on the radio and a knock out is probably not the best description. Both Riggs and Diaz said that they locked up and wrestled after the punch was thrown, which is tough to do if you're out cold. Diaz claimed "he dropped him", but then said that Riggs took a leg right after the punch and tried to take him down. Riggs said he wasn't expecting the punch and it knocked him down, but he immediatly went after Diaz. I think "knocked down" is the better description. I really liked all the other edits.

i dont love the detail, it just doesnt seem encyclopedic, but i do appreciate the NPOV nature. i know the forum post is a transcript of a genuine media interview, but i guess quoting it and discussing the altercation in such detail seems rough to me. at any rate, i am certainly able to handle it if other editors think it is fine – assuming there are other editors who pay attention to this page. What's up with the summary at the top of the "MMA record" table? The wins/losses don't add up, and are different than the one at the top of the page. As of this moment the table summary says: 22 Wins (16 KO's, 2 submission, 4 decisions), 2 Losses (2 submissions), 0 Draws. By my count in the table, it is: 13 Wins (6 KO's, 5 submission, 2 decisions), 6 Losses (0 submissions), 0 Draws.

the josh neer fight

if diaz pulled out of the john alessio fight to take the josh neer fight in the ufc, then why does the article say that alessio pulled out of the match? wouldn't it be diaz that pulled out? that whole section is confusing and should be cleaned up.

Method does not match result.

I think we should also mention how that ruling is BS and how Dr. Alamo is a psuedoscientist because Diaz was obviously not intoxicated at the fight. Hmm_Sprinkles

OK if Nick Diaz really was high during the fight which I doubt allot. I'm sure he was smoking like a week before the fight to relax after a 8 hour training session. There is no way he smoked before the fight. You honestly think he was hitting a bong in his dressing room going "oh yeah, this is going to help my hand eye coordination." No friggin way. Weed stays in your system so friggin' long. The test isn't to see if your high at the time your taking it. The damn thing comes out positive if you smoked two days ago or even two weeks ago. So to be fair that is a incredibly inacurate way of testing. The pride doctor was saying that the THC would have had a pain killing effect helping him win the fight. I'm sorry it is THC not oxy cotton, PCP, or something like that. That doctor is RETARDED as a M**** F**** if he really thinks that. Weed has got NO PAIN KILLING EFFECTS. In my opinion it is just an excuse for the Japanese pride fans to keep Gomi's win loss record as clean as possible. I say the win should count as two wins if he was high during the fight. That would be a major disadvantage. Nick Diaz is the shit and I think it's crazy that they can steal a win he EARNED by testing to see if likes to smoke weed. Who don't like to smoke weed? While talkpage is for discussions related to improving the article not general discussion about the subject, I'll just add this: the fight happened in Las Vegas and was regulated by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, so the NC had nothing to do with PRIDE. No one was injured as the Diaz brothers left the arena entrance "throwing the bird" to the fans and Noons' corner. Nationality

I have copy edited the nationality per a request on my talk page. I have "backed off" Mexican-American bios, since they seem to be a little more "invovled". diaz vs silva

um i have no idea how to really do anything on this but if it gets known to someone who does. why was the silva fight etc removed from his. MMA record. it's still tech apart of his record> even tho it was a NC even when u look at his MMA record stats "box" it says 2 NC (which counts as your record)also u still kept his NC with Takanori Gomi. so wtf is that? who edited that? because who ever did. needs to either remove BOTH NC's if you feel you don't want to put that as apart of his record. or show is record for what it really is. carlos condit in 2014 was not his "last" fight. and the silva stuff was up before so just why did it get removed. a NC doesn't mean it didn't happen. the fight still took place and vids obv still exist of it. it shows on his record box and as i stated gomis NC still remains there. yet you take down his most recent fight? either take down (all) the NC or as i'm saying leave the records for what they are. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.70.94.246 (talk) 09:30, 15 March 2016 (UTC)

War MMA??

I think this section of the article is not relevant enough to warrant it's inclusion. At the very least the fight card and results should be removed as they really have nothing to do with Nick Diaz. We don't have every card the UFC has ever promoted on Dana White's wikipedia page.
