Talk:Nick Cannon/Archive 1

Untitled

Nick Cannon is definitly a triple threat. He's a rapper, an actor, comedian, producer, author, and he writes for T.v sitcoms. He was a hit in his starring role in the hit movie drumline. He brought a certain realness to college marching bands that was never before potrayed on the big screen. He made it cool to want to be apart of something oposed to just sitting around letting valuable gifts go to waste wich seems to be a big problem in the black community. With his role as Devon he truly changed many lives.

Nick seems to be naturally hillarious. That is probably why he's such an outstanding comic. No matter what he does or where he is, he always manages to put a smile on peoples faces be it intentional or accidental.

Drumline was good, and the chemistry between him and that Christina Milian in Love Don't Cost a Thing was undeniable, but lately, his movies are lacking. OK, I can't consider Roll Bounce his movie, but Underclassmen was VERY un-funny. Well, in my opinion anyway. I'm sure he'll bounce back. Wildin' Out is pretty good. Nick Cannon is no the one with the first concept for wild n out. There is a radio station in Greensboro, NC called the Wild out wake up show on 102jamz that has had that name for years. It is rummored that he heard the show cause he use to hang out in Charlotte. So who's idea was it really.

the abortion statement

The music video can I live says it is based on a true story. It does state the year was 1979. as nick cannon was born in October of 1980. I think this points doubt in using that music video to form the statement "Cannon's music video for Can I Live? reveals that he was almost aborted by his mother, but she panicked in the abortion clinic and decided to have the baby" i think that either a statement should be removed. It is rare for a pregnacy to last more then 42 weeks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.94.131.159 (talk) 01:04, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

I have checked on line for any articles that talk about nick cannon almost being aborted. There are references to this wikipedia article on pro life sites. There is not one thing indicating this statement is true. His music video is not proof that this happened. I will change this once Wikipedia grants me the rights. Pro Life politics should not in a wikipedia articles like this. It is well know that nick cannon is pro life. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chris10587 (talkcontribs) 12:54, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

surely the fact that he was born in 1980 and the song was first released in 1986 would give it away... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.129.143.88 (talk) 23:50, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Suggested check for recent events/updates

Under the "Hosting" section, it still says Cannon is hosting the fifth season of America's Got Talent when the show has already gone into its sixth season. I would suggest anyone who can edit the article both change that particular statement and also review the rest of the article to make sure it is up-to-date.173.25.25.220 (talk) 16:55, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

I Remember

Another side of the controversy for "I Remember" sparked when the original producer of the track Deadmau5 stated on his twitter and facebook that he did not receive any credit for the song Nick "sampled" to freestyle over:

"um... yeah... hey there @NickCannon can we at the very least get a little bit of credit for producing the track you ... erm... "sampled" or what?"

"@NickCannon i appreciate that, i do,... the way i see it, it looks like its lined up as an "exclusive release"? just... you know, our music."

"@NickCannon im not putting you on blast, its just not clearly stated that it's actually our intellectual property. Just protecting my work."

"lets get real here for a sec... regardless of Nick Cannons previous career, current career, future career... the way i guess im looking at it is that the guys a fan. Were going back and forth on twitter to clear it all up nice n neat. no drama. think about it.... why should we put him on blast? There are THOUSANDS of other producers who sample / recreate / modify my work because theyre simply fans. And thats bother flattering and awesome. We can't hate em for that! im just talking to him about any potential "market" he plans on hitting with this, not that it will see the light of day (not with my work in there) but just giving him a little nudge that i'll protect my work. calm down horde! ♥"

"@NickCannon im tellin you, i don't think i'm cut out for this shit, ill accidentally start world war 3 one of these days."

"RT "@NickCannon @deadmau5 HA! I hear you! When are you in the states next?! Let's do an original record together!" *facepalm* WW3 nick. WW3."

"@NickCannon @notch Ancient minecraft proverb: "don't dig straight down. seriously. stop digging."

"@NickCannon dude. im not letting you "borrow" my work. I tried to be nice about it, but you need to clear the samples before putting it out."

"@NickCannon and im not clearing any rights for you to use my work. So, what are you doing here exactly? this is frustrating."

Link for the track here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLGdtRUO2dc note after minute 1:42 the rest of the song is a remix of the original I Remember by deadmau5 vs Kaskade featuring with vocals by Haley Gibby, neither one of them (Kaskade or Haley) are receiving credit for their work on the song either.

In the mean time, Nick has deleted his side of the conversation from twitter. This is seriously NOT seing the light of day. Sources: https://twitter.com/NickCannon https://twitter.com/Deadmau5 Blue starkiller (talk) 18:42, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

Mere fact that he started going to college

An ip added two sentences to the article that says he has started college at Howard university and his projected graduation year. This is sourced to a post on his Instagram account. I have no concerns that it is true, my concern is that this is just news. If the only place this is reported is in his personal social networks it does not appear to be very important news. I don't think we need to report this in his biography. It will belong when he graduates but until then I don't think so. -- GB fan 23:20, 23 August 2016 (UTC)

ViacomCBS Terminates Nick Cannon Over Anti-Semitic Remarks

The anonymous individual links to a Wikipedia essay written by far-leftist extremist partisan hacks. Only a radical leftist anti-Semite would smear The Daily Wire as not a reliable source. The Daily Wire is extremely reliable, much more so than the far-left USA Today. Undo your vandalous censorship immediately. An encyclopedia which claims to be neutral should not be replacing reliable center-right sources with far-left fake news sources in order to advance the radical Democrat political agenda. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.203.10.201 (talk) 19:52, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
