The Waterford County museum republication of Egan's history online [1] is useful but was written in the 1890s and would be considered too simplistic by historians today. An interesting emotive product of its times. Sheehy's memory and judicial murder was also publicized by Edmund Burke his (Protestant) cousin, and he deserves a better article.86.42.205.97 (talk) 08:52, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Is there a reference to confirm that Fr Sheehy had a brother William? If not, then that statement should be removed from article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 154.50.192.153 (talk) 19:11, 21 September 2014 (UTC) Is there any proof (or sound reference) that Nicholas Sheehy was a cousin of Edmund Burke's? Is there proof that Sheehy was born in Fethard? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.106.137.98 (talk) 10:22, 30 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
