I'm deleted the uncited reference to female Amazon warriors. That's an extraordinary statement and requires extraordinary scholarship. Before it can be included in the encyclopedia, a citation to a peer-reviewed professional journal by an established authority is required. This is a factual article about a feature of Brazilian geography. If the existence of female Amazon warriors is in fact true, where is the archeological or anthropological evidence for it? In any case, that information belongs in article Indigenous peoples of Brazil or Amazon River#History. If it is not true, but a legend in the oral tradition, it belongs in article Brazilian mythology or Amazon mythology.Sbalfour (talk) 17:56, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
