History edit
"There is a long and storied history of basketball in New Zealand dating back to when Wilt Chamberlain vacationed at the island paradise back in the 60s and introduced the game to the Kiwis." The statement about Wilt Chamberlain seems unlikely and certainly untrue on the face of it since NZ joined FIBA in 1951 and there is plenty of archive material pointing to competitions being run in the 1950's. Basketball was more likely introduced to NZ by the YMCA and then reinforced by the presence of US troops during the Second World War, but heh, let's not get hung up on facts when a good story will suffice (facetiousness). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.61.208.236 (talk) 23:38, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
- Completely false information.

Steven Adams edit
No mention of him at all in the article? Surely he's the most notable Kiwi basketball player currently. Mirza Ahmed (talk) 07:32, 9 December 2019 (UTC)
- Adams has never played for the Tall Blacks at Mens international level, so this would be a clear reason why he has no mention, as this is about the Team itself, not players that are from New Zealand. Should Adams decide to play for the Tall Blacks in 2024, then he would be added to the squad. PukeHoopster81 (talk) 23:12, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
Adding historical details edit
I'm currently in the process of adding historical details of the Tall Blacks, via the NZNBL and FIBA websites through email communciation and real time stats. Previous un-named edits to the page look to line up with many of the FIBA stats. I've made a few grammar and spelling improvments where required. When I find all the correct details, which is a slow process, I'm looking to clean up the 2019 game stats, in terms of keeping the details, but condensing them down.

Updating current roster edit
Now that the new team has been set, Over the next coming days I will look to replace the 2023 roster with the 2024 roster and shift the 2023 roster to the historical roster section. PukeHoopster81 (talk) 21:45, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
