Oothcaloga, Ustanali and New Echota
edit@GenQuest: Apparently these three villages were one and the same though the residents of each area called it by those names. Maybe we had the first Cherokee "metropolis" with sub-divisions? A map I have supplied by the Cherokee Nation of the territory prior to the Removal shows only New Echota but the town was only named that after the capital was moved there in honor of the former capital of Chota/Chote located in Tennessee, not to be confused with the town located at the Nacoochee Mound, in eastern Georgia, called Chota, formerly named Naguchee. If you aren't confused yet then I have tons more I could share that would really get your head spinning. --Tsistunagiska (talk) 18:27, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

- @GenQuest: Ha! I was just now trying to locate the town of Ganasagi or Kanasaki or Kanasagi (4 locations exist on the maps) which, btw is the actual name of the actual location at the physical site of New Echota which is also called New Town, that was Ustanali, by the settlers who moved there after the Cherokee were forced out. I just about pulled every long hair I have out of my head a few minutes ago. I am now in the corner balled up in the fetal position crying incessantly with gnashing of teeth. --Tsistunagiska (talk) 19:47, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
