Comments:

  1. New Jersey Route 163 should be Route 163 per WP:USSH.
  2. "in the county of Warren", change to "in Warren County, New Jersey" as first sentence should mention route is in New Jersey.
  3. The next couple sentences of the lead seem confusing as they jump from describing NJ 163 to describing the former bridge. I would reword the second sentence of the lead to say "It is the approach to the Delaware Bridge, a former road bridge over the Delaware River connecting the settlement of Delaware with Portland, Pennsylvania."
  4. In next sentence, change "it" to "this bridge".
  5. "and a short stretch to the south", what is this "short stretch"?
  6. In first sentence of history "originates" should be in past tense.
  7. In sentence "U.S. Route 46 was realigned once again when the Portland-Columbia Toll Bridge opened in 1953,[8] the alignment of the highway was changed to heading along former State Highway Route 8[3] (mostly New Jersey Route 94), where it ended at U.S. Route 611 and NJ 94, where it does to this current day.", add "with" after first comma, change "heading to "head", and change "where it does to this current day" to "its current terminus".
  8. In phrase "which took out several bridges over the Delaware" add "other" after "several".

I am placing the article on hold. Dough4872 (talk) 01:04, 12 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Done, but I disagreed with some of your replacements, so I used my own, and the "with" is grammatically incorrect.Mitch/HC32 01:43, 12 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
