Pre-colonial name of New Caledonia/Grande-Terre edit
Hello, I am trying to find out among the finest scholars of the subject if before the European term of New Caledonia and the Kanak term of Kanaky, there existed a precolonial term to designate the archipelago or at least the Grand Terre. SuperSygma (talk) 16:20, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
- No, there wasn't any. New Caledonia was inhabited by people who spoke more than 30 very different languages with little mutual intelligibility. ព្រះមហាក្សត្ររាជ (talk) 17:03, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
