Nomenclature edit

I've found NCEH1 is never or almost never called NCEH without the 1 in PubMed. Accession #s NP_001139750.1, NP_001139749.1, NP_001139748.1 and NP_065843.3 for the protein in NCBI (aside from an entry for KIAA..etc) list it as NCEH1, not NCEH. Confusion does result however from the literature referring to all neutral cholesterol ester hydrolase activity by HSL (LIPE), CES1, etc. as NCEH. So, I'm inclined to return NCEH to NCEH1. Please by all means, change it back. I made the edit based on the recommended Q6PIU2 short name, but if a large majority of the literature lists it as NCEH1, that certainly trumps UniProt. Cheers. Boghog (talk) 17:12, 12 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
I see it. Augh!!! Most publications refer to NCEH1 as KIAA... too while NCBI mostly calls it NCEH1 unless it's in animals and then it is KIAA... and NCEH1. The literature on CEHs is a total disaster.Skingski (talk) 15:49, 13 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
Why do they even call it NCEH1? There is no NCEH2. I do see on NCBI additional citations that also call it NCEH. You know, I'll just revert to your NCEH for now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skingski (talkcontribs) 15:55, 13 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
