I'm confused about the proper name for this genus edit

This article refers to "Shizostachyum" (with a single "c") as a synonym, but Melocanninae says the subtribe contains the genera "Neohouzeaua" and "Schizostachyum" (with a total of 2 "c"s).

For these to both be correct, someone would have to have (at some point) named genera "Shizostachyum" and "Schizostachyum" and put them in Melocanninae. This seems insane, so it seems much more likely that any reference to "Shizostachyum" is a typo for "Schizostachyum" and that Schizostachyum has been declared to be a (n obsolete) synonym for Neohouzeaua, possibly disputed by other authorities or subject to further revision. I'd be tickled if someone who understood what's going on better than I would confirm what I've guessed, edit both articles to reflect that understanding, and provide sensible citations for this.--Wcoole (talk) 23:19, 24 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Shizostachyum is a typo, and Neohouzeaua is sometimes treated as a synonym of Schizostachyum (not vice versa). Edited to reflect this. Plantdrew (talk) 01:21, 24 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
