Opposition to evolution edit

I've noticed that much of the opposition to the doctrine of evolution is not so much based on a dislike of ancient primates and dinosaurs, but rather that it follows an objection to the philosophical postulates that everything evolves, a phrase that is in some ways similar to all is relative when applied to the whole of human society. When critics speak of evolutionism, it is quite likely that they are refering to neoevolutionism, and not necessarily evolution itself. This is in some ways understandable because many socio-cultural movements that have functionally integrated neoevolutionism have been highly controversial, such as social darwinism, colonialism, eugenics, birth control, population control and transhumanism. Band, tribe, chiefdom, state, empire edit

Shouldn't there be a section on the proposed stages of Band, tribe, chiefdom, state, empire? 128.148.231.12 (talk) 15:24, 6 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

No, because that's unilinear evolution, not neo-evolutionism. 69.157.78.84 (talk) 16:51, 14 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
