She was actually arrested and imprisoned by pro-Russian rebels for refusal to fully collaborate with them, then freed from the prison by Ukrainian forces, but rearrested again by Ukrainian authorities for alleged collaboration with rebels (who in fact imprisoned her for refusal to collaborate). Is that the controversy? This should be in the introduction. My very best wishes (talk) 17:35, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

That's correct MVBW, and I appreciate your addition to the lead. RGloucester 17:50, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Shtepa arrest was (on 7 December 2016) extended to 3 February 2017. (In case anybody is wondering if she is still in prison.) As of 10 January 2017 pro-Russian rebels claim they want to exchange her for some of their pro-Ukrainian prisoners. But until something official happened this exchange wish seems to be WP:NOTNEWS. — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 14:05, 10 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
