U2

edit

Can anybody explain U2 not taking part? They were rumoured, if not confirmed, to be in the line up originally and it was the sort of 'cause' you would have expected them to support. Throughout the day the crowd chanted "How long to sing this song", lyrics from U2's song 40. Eventually compere Lenny Henry had to tell everyone that they definitely wouldn't be there!

Just interested, that's all. Roybus (talk) 20:38, 3 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Notability?

edit

Why is there an entire article on a single concert?203.184.41.226 (talk) 09:14, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Accuracy

edit

This article has inaccuracies (especially about the origins of the concert which came after, and out of, years of anti-apartheid activity and concerts) including that the concert was in fact funded by the Anti-Apartheid Movement (UK). Adding "Talkin' Bout a Revolution" to the Resonant Song List?

edit

Hi, just going off of the article, and a pre-familiarity with Tracey Chapman's music, shouldn't the list of "political songs which received resonance" include Talkin' Bout a Revolution, since she sang it when this launched her career. Or it's also possible that the list only includes the planned song list? Because I believe she was only supposed to perform Fast Car and then TBAR was the impromptu choice when Stevie Wonder walked out. 72.190.201.230 (talk) 17:39, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
