Requested merge 7 April 2018‎‎ edit

Palm syrupNeera – The merger was suggested by HLHJ (See this edit).

Oppose It seems like palm syrup is thick, brownish syrup while neera is clear, liquidy drink. --Maumivi (talk) 14:09, 18 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Neera is dessicated somewhat to make palm syrup, which can be dessicated further to make palm sugar. The content, which is a largely about tapping and nutritional content, seems to overlap, so I think it might be best to merge them. HLHJ (talk) 01:08, 19 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Both Neera and Palm syrup are end products that are sold and consumed, aren't they? If they have different consistency, different tastes, and different uses, I think keeping the articles separate is a better option. Nutritional information usually overlaps largely among the products that are made from same ingredients, for example among all fermented bean pastes that are made from soybeans. --Maumivi (talk) 05:49, 19 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
