For a notable subject like this Queen, with plenty of reliable sources to chose from, someone in their wisdom went and selected an obscure and unreliable source: this website. Not only did they do that, they copied and pasted a hell of a lot text from that website and plastered it all over this article - in particular the Reign and Legacy sections. They then proceeded to add their own POV and misrepresented the source they've even cited (this unreliable website). Lingeer Ndaté Yalla's army was not composed of "women warriors." It was the male warrior army of Waalo led by the Queen's own husband - Marosso Tassé Diop (Prince of Cayor) and father of Sidya Léon Diop who took up arms against the French to defend his wife's kingdom from French conquest. Someone who truly does not understand the subject has added copyvio material from unreliable sources and inserted their own POV. And the quote they've used when the Queen was addressing her dignitaries after her defeat was actually provided by me years ago when I co-edited the corresponding French article. They did not even provide the source that quote came from. The actual source is: Alexis Adandé, and Emmanuel Arinze; The place of Women in the Museum of Saint-Louis, [in] "Museums & urban culture in West Africa", Published on behalf of the West African Museums Programme in association with the International African Institute [by] James Currey (2002), pp. 145-146, ISBN 9780852552766. They didn't even credit the actual source. Further, this source used in the Women of Waalo section is also unreliable. They and/or the editor did not even get the facts of the history right. The incident they are referring to here is actually called Talaata-i-Ndeer by the Senegambian people i.e the Battle of Nder, which has been covered in our Joos Maternal Dynasty article. The incident was actually a result of dynastic struggle between the royal princes from two of the maternal dynasties of Waalo. This particular incident had nothing at all to do with the Moors of Trazar, but the two maternal dynasties of Waalo: the Joos maternal dynasty (of Serer origin), and Tedyek maternal dynasty (of Fula origin). I'm working on something now but when I have time I will re-write this whole article. People! Please be careful! This is why some people do not respect us Africans and our history! For such a notable subject like this Queen, this is just shameful and lazy editing. I will re-write the whole thing starting with a stub. Absolutely terrible!Tamsier (talk) 05:49, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
