Exact period of the civil war edit

I have revised Navarre during this period, and I have dealt marginally with the mid 15th century, but other wikipedia articles and materials (maps) on a number of languages point to the civil war as extending up to 1461, 1463 or 1464, and looking into the data that seems to be appropriate. The date alteration can better account for the tumultuous period extending up to 1464. Let's bear in mind that it is about events in Navarre, beyond any personal or dynastic feuds. I suggest we expand the period of civil war up to 1463-1464, with a clear turning point, the death of Charles (1461) and the loss of territory to Castile (1463, confirmed in 1464). We don't get to decide. What do the sources say? I found one source that gives it two periods: 1447–58 and 1460–61. Most sources I looked up don't provide precise dates. Srnec (talk) 21:49, 10 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
I think the dates are quite confusing, and the Conquista e incorporacion del reino de Navarra a Castilla I have used in other articles just states that 7 decades of civil wars broke out. The featured Basque language article extends it from 1451 to 1464. The map showed there in Spanish also extends up to 1464. The Catalan article on the Conquest is ambiguous, but the article on the Civil War is up to 1455. The Spanish wikipedia is ambiguous on the Civil War. As I see it the 1451-1455 appears to make reference to a dynastic war episode that was to spark new period of clashes and engagements until 1463 (1464), at least. To restrict the Civil War term to 1451-1455 with so many civil war episodes seems, at least, restrictive.Iñaki LL (talk) 14:43, 11 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
