Missing photos of NRHP sites in the county edit

I have had some emails from Commons:User:KLOTZ, who has taken many photographs of NRHP sites in Somerset County and has been unable to find some listings despite repeated efforts. With his permission, here is what he wrote me

I don't think the Baker-Dauderstadt Farm is still there. I found 30 DuBois Road and it is now a soccer and basefield field for Warren Township. The fields are called Dauderstadt Field so I suspect the house was torn down to make room.

On Gladstone Station the picture presently on the Registry is of a steel girder which hovers over the tracks. I will send a picture of the station itself which is why the site is on the registry in the first place.

McDonald's=Kline's Mill is listed as address restricted. This is not quite true but cars cannot get there but bicycllsts and hiklers can. It is on private property protected by a gate. I found the Estate Manager and explained what I was doing and he was kind enough to drive me to the mill in his jeep. I shall mention some of this when I send the picture. This is a real tough one.

River Road I simply cannot find any contributing sites to take pictures of. Nothing on River Road is labelled and there are no pictures available so this is one to find the township historian.

Smalley-Wormser House - that address is incorrect. There is no 84 Mountain Avenue. I spoke with several locals and they knew nothing of a Smalley-Wormser House. In Somerset there are often roads with the same name in different townships and I suspect that is what happened here although I checked out Mountain Avenue in Bound Brook and that did not work either.

The picture on the Registry for six Mile Run Historic District is the same picture used for Six Mile Run Reformed Church. The picture for the Church is correct but I shall send you some pictures of key structures in the Six Mile Run Historic District itself.

The Vail Trust House is not at 225 Greenbrook Road. Again I suspect there is another Greenbrook Road because that roads runs for considerable distance through several townships and boroughs.

Lastly I took some pictures of significant historic sites in Somerset County which are not listed on the Registry but might merit inclusion under your "commons" listings

In a second email he added:

I have done more research on that Smalley-Wormser House and I now believe it is in Warren, Somerset County. There is a Mountain Avenue in that township and they do not appear connected.. The plainfield address definitely does not work. I still could not find anything new on the Vail-Trust House and I think I need to write to the Green Brook Historical Society for that one. Most of the time they do NOT answer but its worth a try
