National Rally–The Republicans alliance crisis → 2024 The Republicans (France) crisis – The crisis mostly concerns The Republicans, and has little to do with the National Rally party. They were just there and said "OK" to Ciotti's faction joining their movement. I understand the current name but it's both too long and gives too much spotlight to the RN. The French article is called "2024 crisis in The Republicans party", which is a more accurate description of the situation. I suggest 2024 The Republicans (France) crisis, in line with the name of the article The Republicans (France). Paul Vaurie (talk) 22:09, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose: It's more natural to refer to it talking about both parties in the alliance, and it matters a lot which specific party The Republicans allied with. It's only a crisis because they allied with the National Rally. It can be referred to as the Name Year Crisis, but it's more informative not to. - French Wikipedia can omit France because France mainly speaks French. The US speaks English, so an omission may cause confusion with the US' GOP. The current title's "National Rally-" prevents confusion, so the new title should address this. 174.92.25.207 (talk) 11:30, 11 July 2024 (UTC)

- Semi-support - having a bracket mid-title is clunky, and given that there haven't been any crises related to any other "The Republicans", I feel like the France might be better dropped. 2024 The Republicans alliance crisis might work better? Couruu (talk) 09:41, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
