The Whanganui Chronicle interview with Wilson states her father "also performed in The Huimai Rhythm Boys, and performed from Auckland to Rotorua." This seems to be a mistake by the reporter. The text added by User:Wilsongirls90, who I presume is the article subject, replaces it with "His father, Alfred Te Rupe Wilson (Boydie), also a performer, performed with his father, Toroa Wirihana Rupe, in the ‘Huimai Rhythm Boys’, from Auckland to Rotorua." This makes much more sense, based on the dates. Unfortunately we don't have a published source for this except for a Facebook post by Wilson herself (here), so I suggest we drop the whole sentence until we can find one, perhaps something like Chris Bourke's (2013) Blue Smoke: The Lost Dawn of New Zealand Popular Music. —Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 20:41, 26 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
