The article by Erik Wemple has been tagged as a primary source. Our guidelines say that "Editorial commentary, analysis and opinion pieces, whether written by the editors of the publication (editorials) or outside authors are reliable primary sources for statements attributed to that editor or author ". Since we have attributed the opinion, we have abided by policy. Btw, there are at least three other primary sources on this page that have not been tagged.
