Hello, I am a Field Organizer for Dr. Natalia Linos, a candidate in the 4th Congressional District. I am requesting edit access to add Natalia's endorsements to the list of endorsements. Thank you! Please let me know if there are any issues. Annabel

Add Natalia Linos' endorsements under "Endorsements" tab: Mary T. Bassett, former New York City Health Commissioner

I could not immediately find a source for this. Have reliable sources mentioned this? – Thjarkur (talk) 17:20, 12 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi I am so sorry I do not at all know how to use this Wikipedia interface so I'm not sure if I'm commenting in the right place or if there's a chat or something? Here is a Patch article about it: https://patch.com/massachusetts/brookline/150-health-professionals-endorse-natalia-linos-congress. You can also find a full list of endorsements on her campaign website: www.nataliaforcongress.com/endorsements. I recognize her actual campaign website might be a conflict of interest, so I've added the Patch website as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Annabelxu12 (talkcontribs) 19:05, 12 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • @Annabelxu12: Thanks for proposing an edit to Wikipedia and declaring your conflict of interest. I am declining this edit because the sources listed above are not Wikipedia:Independent sources (as the Patch article is written by Linos, and the campaign website is linked to Linos). Thus, the sources do not pass criteria 2 for "Endorsements by individuals" in the WP:ENDORSE guideline. I looked for an independent source on Google that states Bassett's endorsement but was unable to find one. If you have a WP:RS we can cite, please post it below and I will reevaluate this proposal.
