Why two separate Nanaimo ridings
editI did it that way because the boundaries for them are very different; the older one was about five ridings today, and the name dropped off the map for a while. This particular area of Vancouver Island has been subject to lots of boundary-fiddling over the years; the area presents of mix of retired people, union voters, conservative post-imperial colonists, First Nations people and is fairly volatile politically - so the boundaries get shifted around to try to move the lines on the chessboard a bit. I've done the same double-listing elsewhere; although both links resolve to the same page: NanaimoSkookum1 02:10, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
