Cleanup tags edit

Cjandrews, rather than removing cleanup tags from the article, please would you spend some effort on actually cleaning it up? It currently contains precisely one reference that meets Wikipedia's criteria, and several external references which do not meet WP:ELNO: some of these would be appropriate for references; others should be removed. The second paragraph, beginning "Carle's goal", is an example of information which is unreferenced, and therefore contravenes Wikipedia's principles on verifiability; since it is about a living person it is arguably also contrary to Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living persons.

I have no particular interest in the subject of this article, and am not disposed to spend more time than I have already done in improving it. Rather than removing all the unreferenced information (which I would have been entitled to do) I marked it with tags to bring to the attention of you and other editors that in my opinion it was in need of improvement. You are of course welcome to argue this with me; but removing the tags without making any improvement to the article, or even giving an explanation, is in my view disruptive. --ColinFine (talk) 16:21, 24 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
