Name plates → Nameplate – The name should be singular and it is more frequently spelled as one word, if Google results are any indication. However, there is already an article there, so the move requires admin assistance. -- Kjkolb 08:53, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

A nameplate is a plate attached to a locomotive carrying a name. They are often collected as memorabilia.
