Why the new version was reverted back. All the articles mentioned are written and published on-line.Does wikipedia not accept such sources! Registered numbers do not mean the number of followers or supporters.Do not you publish articles on scientific subjects which is proposed and having circulations among few! There are many I can cite. How for an humanitarian movement of a marginalised poor community , it so becomes a criteria ? I oppose the deletion .How long will it take to be transformed into a mass movement that is a different question. How can it be denied a place in the excuse of it not being an mass movement. If people of this community those who are not registered , are against this may express it to this talk page. It should be reverted to the last edition by arnibanssej and more tome be given for citing online sources 117.194.204.180 (talk) 06:47, 2 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia does not exist to aid socio-political campaigns, or indeed any campaigns. Our articles have to remain neutral and the statements contained in them have to be verifiable using reliable sources. Furthermore, the content of an article must be focussed on the subject, which in this instance is an organisation called Namassej Samaj Andolon rather than the entire backstory of the Namasudras, and we must not rely unduly on the subject as a source for the statements. As i see it, the article fails on all of these counts. - Sitush (talk) 07:44, 2 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
It is a social demand but not political ;it may have such implication. "Andolon" means movement but it is not so. No one have met each other. There were writings on-line and the web-page adopted the name. This is there and will be forever in their heart for this new change. The existing name in Govt documents(i.e. Namasudra) itself is the most important document. And this is the reason why the back ground comes forward .Although they wanted to add different words with Nama- ( which is from Namas , the clan name ) but it is hard to say which was proposed when. Most documentations are in Bengali language. The same problem you will find with every Indian community/caste/varna. I think you are well aware of this.Arniban Ssej 12:01, 2 February 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arnibanssej (talkcontribs)
The book which is mentioned in the ref. is a research thesis on the topics used as the Name of the book. The identity movement based mythology is not included here. The scholarly society do not think it is much important. But all the identity saga of their own communities are also mythology. None is a history. For these communities the documentation was banned and there education or any such activities were completely forbidden even before 1900 and so mostly they remembered everything as hearsay , thus there is slightly differing versions ;more awesome was the restriction to stop these documentations. But now it is neither a movement nor a visible programme carried out by people on personal or on a meeting level. It is just a network of on-line writings.

What kind of source you mean!117.194.203.253 (talk) 13:06, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
