"Fundamentalist" may be tendentious, or as we say hereabouts, not NPOV. --Haruo 03:12, 28 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Second World War edit

No mention of the Naga people aid to the British against the Japanese during the Second World War? I do not have any details but I know that there contriobution to the halting of the Japanese progress accross the region was significant. Will try to find some details. --Drgs100 13:16, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Religion edit

There seems to be no discussion of pre-Christian Naga religion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.213.183.249 (talk) 00:56, 26 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

women status edit

The section of women is way too contradictory... they are highly respected, but must obey the men. Uh no, that's not respect. They have lots of "freedom", but have no political power... yeah, no. J — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.55.92.22 (talk) 14:17, 23 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Naga edit

Your attribution is fringe and I do not see WP:RS. Naga has been used by Indic speakers for like at least 4000 years to refer to people they consider "savages". You're quoting British Raj-era fringe stuff, engaging in WP:SYNTH, and generally not providing Wikipedic level material. Ogress 19:33, 7 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Also, no, if you are reverted you have the burden of proof, I don't have to disprove you, you have to demonstrate the material is Wikipedic. Ogress 19:37, 7 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Change title to Nagas edit

I think it is more appropriate to say Nagas rather than Naga people. For example, we don't say India people or Indian people. A single Indian sufficed the meaning. KakhoSimpson (talk) 15:13, 2 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Infobox image edit

@Zapnath9:, please explain here why you think that the infobox image is inappropriate. You have mentioned "Edited in England" in your edit summary, do you mean that any image edited by a person in England is unsuitable for this page? Why? I hope you realize that Wikipedia has contributors from all over the world. If you can't get past the nationality of your fellow editors, then you won't be able to collaborate with them on this project. Please provide an explanation that is completely based on the merits of the image as to why you'd like to see the image removed from this page. —Gazoth (talk) 02:47, 16 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

The matter of fact is that Thangkuls are not Nagas from Nagaland due to political and border issues. Therefore, main photo display credit should be given to one of the Naga tribes from Nagaland and not Manipur. Edited in England. -- @Zapnath9: — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zapnath9 (talkcontribs) 02:52, 16 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Can you provide a reliable source for your claim? Tangkhuls have been mentioned as a Naga tribe on this very page. Please sign your messages on the talk page with four tildes ~~~~, which will insert your name and the current time in UTC. Proposal for merger edit

I propose merging https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naga_cuisine#Dishes with this article as there is a clear overlap and it will help editors.

There is a clear overlap, but the article on Naga cuisines has few if any sources and is written mostly from personal experience. Many texts on this subject exist only in print and oral tradition, and I would ask editors to resist the urge to broadly challenge unsourced content if it's not contested on factual grounds. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.89.179.154 (talk) 10:47, 13 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Why no mention? It was apparently an important part of their culture. 104.153.40.58 (talk) 00:11, 24 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
