Deletion reasons?

edit

I would like to know the arguments that were used for taking this action, after all the AfD discussion is not exactly a vote. I would like to know the exact reason that the admin was based on. I am considering of taking this article for a deletion review.--Banzoo 20:13, 12 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Ah, you made the case here. Yes, as I constantly remind people, AfD is not a vote. However, the flip side is tha AfD is about consensus. The consensus in the AfD is pretty overwhelming for the article to be merged. If you want to bring it up for deletion review, you are well within your rights to; however, I'd like to note that most of the time, deletion review looks into whether proper process was followed in closing the AfD, and in my opinion, it was. Also, please note that the article itself isn't deleted: the article history is still intact, and the actual contents are now present in Operation Grapes of Wrath. --Deathphoenix ʕ 14:45, 13 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
