  • What I think should be changed (include citations):

- can we request the first sentence in the first paragraph be changed to: New South Wales Lotteries, (usually marketed and referred to as NSW Lotteries) was a corporation owned by the Government of New South Wales in Australia.

- can we please get rid of the last sentence of the first paragraph and replace it with this: In 2015 the NSW Lotteries brand became one of the four Tatts Group jurisdictional brands to be incorporated into a national lottery brand called ‘The Lott’. The other brands being , Tatts, Golden Casket and South Australian Lotteries.

As of 2022, NSW Lotteries operates under the umbrella brand of The Lott, the official home of Australia’s Lotteries, and an entity of The Lottery Corporation.

NSW Lotteries runs lottery games through a network of agents, most of which are newsagencies. It falls under the government portfolio of Gaming and Racing and is governed by the Public Lotteries Act 1996.

- could some extra information on the games be added? I've added some suggestions here:

Monday & Wednesday Lotto

Monday & Wednesday Lotto is a weekly lottery game drawn on Monday and Wednesday nights in New South Wales, the ACT, Western Australia and Victoria. The same game is known as Monday & Wednesday X Lotto in South Australia and Monday and Wednesday Gold Lotto in Queensland. The lottery style gambling game offers a division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners.

Lotto Strike

Lotto Strike is an add-on game that can only be played when you buy an entry in a Lotto draw on Monday, Wednesday or Saturday and has a minimum prize of $100,000.  Each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night the first 4 balls drawn in the corresponding Lotto draw are the winning Lotto Strike numbers. To win a prize in Lotto Strike, you must match the correct order that the winning numbers were drawn (e.g. 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th) in a single game panel, within the corresponding Monday, Wednesday or Saturday Lotto draw.

Lucky Lotteries

The 'Lucky Lotteries' brand is used to market the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Super Jackot Lottery, which are separate although similar games. Lucky Lotteries is a raffle style jackpot game that guarantees over 10,000 prizes in every draw and has a guaranteed 1st prize of $100,000 for the Super Jackpot game, and $200,000 for the Mega Jackpot game. Unlike other lottery games, each number is unique so there is no sharing of prizes.

  Oz Lotto

Oz Lotto launched nationally in Australia in 1994. On Tuesday nights, 10 balls are drawn at random from forty seven balls numbered 1 to 47. The first seven balls drawn are the "winning numbers" and the last three numbers are the "supplementary numbers".

Powerball

Powerball is Australia’s big jackpotting lottery game, delivering some of the biggest jackpot prizes in Australia.  On Thursday nights, Powerball is drawn from two barrels. Seven numbers are drawn from the main barrel (numbered from 1 to 35) and one Powerball number is drawn from the Powerball barrel (numbered from 1 to 20). To win division one players must match all seven numbers from the first barrel, plus the Powerball number.

Set For Life

Set For Life launched on 3 August 2015. Set for Life is a game of chance where seven winning numbers are selected from a lottery draw of 1 – 44 numbers, every night of the week. The game offers an annuity prize of $20,000 every month for twenty years.

  • Why it should be changed:

- history and fact check changes should be made to ensure accuracy and integrity of the content.

- there was a demerger of the company and since then there have been developments which have not been reflected in this article. Updating this information will provide readers with a more comprehensive understanding of the company.

- I have requested some additional information to be added about certain games to ensure there's a comprehensive overview of the games.
