My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic (comic book)My Little Pony (IDW Publishing) – EqG comics by IDW is coming, so this needs to be accomodated. Also there are FIM-related comics published in Europe and another one on Sparkle World magazine, as well as the upcoming Japanese FIM manga from Bushiroad. G1 and G3 comics can't be forgotten as well. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 12:15, 28 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Oppose - Just because other titles with the same name exist, until they've proven notable, the possible name conflict is not an issue, as long as we make the lead clear what this title applies to. For one, the EQG ones would be named "My Little Pony: Equestria Girls", and there's no name conflict at all (with the film, yes, but that's not here) The comics in the "Sparkle World" magazine and other parts of the world are certainly nowhere near notable, nor are the G1/G3 ones. The manga may be, but that would be simply resolved at My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic (manga). Plus, I will add, the series is not just "My Little Pony" but "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic", so the requested move drops the key part of the title. --MASEM (t) 12:31, 28 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
Oppose per Masem. --Yellow1996 (talk) 16:24, 28 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Volumes edit

So, according to the list of issues, only the first and second arcs have been released in volume format which is not true. Volume 3 has been released containing the third and fourth arcs,[1] Volume 4 has been released containing the fifth and sixth arcs,[2] and next month Volume 5 will be released containing the seventh arc[3]. Not to mention "Omnibus Volume 1," which collects together the first 12 issues.Gagaluv1 (talk) 11:47, 14 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup of issue summaries edit

The quality of the comic summaries seems to get sloppier as they go on. I'm adding up a cleanup notice for the section. User:Immblueversion (talk) 05:51, 9 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

One-off or not. edit

I believe Fiend-ship is a one-off publication, but someone thinks otherwise. Then the question came: how do you define whether it's one-off or not? JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 12:16, 24 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

I believe that FIENDship is Magic should be removed from the "One-off publications" section and be given its own section with the other series. It can't be a one-off publication like the Annuals if it ran for five issues. No official description even suggests that FIENDship is a one-off publication. Furthermore, Nightmare Knights also ran for five issues and is not in the special editions section either.

None of these definitions of the term "one-off" is consistent with the series.

--DeathTrain (talk) 21:50, 25 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Furthermore, I believe that the use term "one-off" is oxymoronic when paired with the term "series". I would like to know why and how the user above defines "FIENDship is Magic" as a one-off publication. I've provided my definitions, I would like to know what definitions they use to classify the series as such. DeathTrain (talk) 00:54, 2 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

(Sorry for late answer.)

It's not like Fiend-ship replaced Friends Forever outright as a secondary publication. It ran alongside Friendship Is Magic (the primary publication) and Friends Forever (the secondary) for a period of one month during April 2015. So, I believe Fiend-ship should be treated as a one-off. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 17:23, 17 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Are you suggesting that there can only be one secondary publication at a time? Is it impossible to consider them both as secondary publications published concurrently with the only differences being that one began sooner, ended later, and ran for more issues? Why? DeathTrain (talk) 00:01, 18 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
A one shot is a single issue. Fiend-ship was five issues. Ergo, it is not a one-off. Neither the number of other pony books released concurrently nor the release schedule have any impact on this categorization. Argento Surfer (talk) 23:55, 23 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Argento Surfer and DeathTrain: Alright, I'll fix them accordingly. By the way, sorry for late response. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 15:06, 9 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Kind-of done.
@Argento Surfer: By the way, care to give your touch on the pages My Little Pony (IDW Publishing) and List of My Little Pony comics issued by IDW Publishing one day? JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 10:58, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
I'd be happy to, but I should probably read more of them first. I've only kept up with a few of the miniseries and main story lines. I'm hoping IDW will put out a good sized omnibus collection sometime Argento Surfer (talk) 12:37, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
