Rosemont arrest incident edit

This section has been blanked twice.

On November 28, 2009, a 22-year-old patron of Rosemont, Illinois Movico Theater was arrested for filming parts of the movie Twilight: New Moon while filming her sister's birthday party. She spent two nights in jail because the theater's management insisted on pressing charges for filming. A police officer told that she had taped "two very short segments" of the movie — no more than four minutes total including some pre-film commercials. She was charged with a Class 4 Felony and could receive a sentence of up to 3 years in prison. The law in question is the "Criminal use of a motion picture exhibition"[1], which is part of the Illinois Criminal Code, 1961 - 720 ILCS 5, Section 21-10 [2]. This law is the result of a bill passed in 2004 by the Illinois House of Representatives, the Illinois State Senate, and then Governor Rod Blagojevich. [3]

Early Muvico edit

This entry describes the Muvico Delray 10 as having a "Downtown City Themed Lobby". In actuality, the lobby is designed after a scene in the film "Blade Runner" and was conceptualized by then Muvico President Hamid Hashimi, and designed and created by Mr. Hashimi and his staff and contractor, with myself as lighting designer and system integrator. It's to this day one of the most fun and creative projects I've worked on in my career, and a testimony to Hamid's vision and creativity. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joecervone (talkcontribs) 19:29, 22 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
