Hullo, Zora here. I just stayed up way too late to completely redo the page. It could use a lot more work in the historical sources AND a good going-over by a qualified ethnomusicologist. I'm a musical ignoramus. I can't describe the music other than by saying that it's plaintive and minor-key, but I'm sure an ethnomusicologist could go into details of scales and such that are completely beyond me. Calling all Oceanic ethnomusicologists!

Great work on what you've done so far, Zora! It's coming along nicely... Tuf-Kat 22:14, Mar 15, 2004 (UTC) (P.S. You can sign your name on talk pages with three tildes (~~~) or four to include the date and time)

No Lead Section Fixed

Hey all, I put in the best lead section I could put together based on what was in the article, which I think is pretty adequate for now. If you haven't figured it out already I know nothing about Tongan music, so I took what I could get from the article as it was and paraphrased it. I hope someone who has a bit (preferably a lot, which is pretty easy in this subject) more knowledge than me will come along and do Tongan music some justice with a solid, accurate, professional lead section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Galt42 (talkcontribs) 07:25, 11 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
