editHi, Ss112, the other day I went through the Music album and singles articles and made them M-D-Y, assuming that would be correct as that's what we're doing on the film article... is this the best way to go forward on the actual music and song articles? I can go back and change them all again if need be. Thanks, Peterpie123rww (talk) 10:56, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
- The film was made in America with an American cast, so it makes sense for it to be MDY. Sia's recordings of her own music, including this album and the songs, should match the format of her other recent songs and albums. -- Ssilvers (talk) 02:38, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you - Peterpie123rww (talk) 17:46, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
Floating Through Space as a single?
edit@Another Believer: @Ssilvers:, It has not been referred to as a single by Sia officially nor is there any sign of radio promotion yet... how do we usually tackle this? "Saved My Life" is listed as a single (in its article) but was in the same position, same with "Original". Removing from infobox for now... - Peterpie123rww (talk) 14:41, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
- Peterpie123rww, Probably someone added after seeing her promote the song of Facebook or similar. ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:53, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
This keeps getting added back to the infobox... ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:29, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
Soundtrack release?
editWas the separate cast soundtrack also released? The article says it was, but no new source is cited to confirm that it happened, and the reviews I see are talking about the studio album. -- Ssilvers (talk) 22:56, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- Ssilvers, I was expecting to see more coverage of the cast soundtrack by now. I know User:Peterpie123rww is following along closely and even working on a draft. Hoping we can see something appropriately sourced in the main space soon. ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:58, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- Are we sure it exists separately, or might it have been cancelled or postponed as a separate album? -- Ssilvers (talk) 23:06, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- It's not out - the German press release was wrong I suppose - I am going to update the relevant articles to say "soon". The Sia album is all that's available for now @Ssilvers: @Another Believer: - Peterpie123rww (talk) 23:32, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- Peterpie123rww, Thanks. Listening to Sia's album now and loving "Lie to Me". ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:39, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

- Any update on the soundtrack -- release date? Cancellation? Should we remove the reference to it? -- Ssilvers (talk) 14:44, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- Ssilvers, Though not officially cancelled, I think that's what they've probably decided to do... a songwriter from one of the tracks on it told me that it was due in early March, so it definitely looks like it's been cancelled. Maybe in the film and album article, we could say "a cast version of the soundtrack was due, but is yet to be relased"; thoughts? - Peterpie123rww (talk) 11:57, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- I would rather just remove mention of it, and if it is ever released, or actually scheduled for release, mention it then. I think it's rarely significant to say that something was at one time vaguely announced but eventually never happened. -- Ssilvers (talk) 23:44, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

Ssilvers, removed. - Peterpie123rww (talk) 11:44, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- Good. In the intro, we say "some of which are included on the album". Now that the film is out, can we say the exact number? -- Ssilvers (talk) 17:01, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- Ssilvers, yes – that's a good idea; "Together", "Music", "1+1" and "Beautiful Things Can Happen" are the straightforward ones!... "Eye to Eye" (album) is "Could I Love with No Fear" (film), but longer + with alternate lyrics, and "Courage to Change" is the credits song, and not included in the "10 original songs written for..." So, I'd say four, and it's unfortunate that we can't easily say that "Eye to Eye" is "CILWNF" because no references to support it except the film and album themselves.... - Peterpie123rww (talk) 17:25, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- Well, how about footnoting the four straightforward ones and "Courage to Change" in the tracklist to state that they appear in the movie? Then, if sources appear discussing E2E's adaptation of the tune of CILWNF, or any other relationships, we can footnote those appropriately. In the intro, instead of "some", how about "about half"? -- Ssilvers (talk) 18:29, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- Ssilvers, sounds fine – would you mind doing that? I'm not too clued up on how to successfully add footnotes etc. And just to clarify, you mean footnoting the songs in the tracklist? Thanks - Peterpie123rww (talk) 17:42, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, in the tracklist. If you leave the ref cites on my Talk page that state that the songs are in both the album and the movie, I'd be happy to do it. -- Ssilvers (talk) 17:50, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
- I tried to add footnotes to the tracklist, but I couldn't do it without messing up some of the formatting in the template. Instead, I added two sentences to the Singles and promotion section. -- Ssilvers (talk) 14:41, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- Ssilvers, okay, thank you! I feel like it might be better suited in another section though I'm not sure which one. Will think about it. + thank you for your other clean-up edits - Peterpie123rww (talk) 15:29, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- I suppose it could go in the tracklist section just at the bottom of the section.... -- Ssilvers (talk) 05:12, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
