Title of "The Farmer's Song" Single

edit

I will be undoing a 2012 edit that removed the "The" from the title of "The Farmer's Song" in the Discography/Singles section. The edit comments state that the "The" was removed because it isn't present in a various artists compilation with the song. The editor included a link that unfortunately no longer exists. I could find no similar link on the given site (http://www.truenorthrecords.com).

The song first appears on McLauchlan's self-titled LP Murray McLauchlan. The back cover track listing and media label of the Canadian release (True North TN-9) has the "The". The actual single, True North TN4-113, also has the "The". The discography on McLauchlan's official website has the "The" in the track listing but not in the short album description. McLauchlan's 1978 compilation, "Greatest Hits" (True North TN-35) does not have the "The" on either the back cover track listing or media label.

I could not find guidance in the Manual of Style for this situation. With both the single and source album using the "The" it seems appropriate to include it here.
