St Thomas de Cantilupe

edit

It probably belongs in the above article, rather than here, but quite by chance I came across Thomas de Cantilupe's tomb in the Hereford Cathedral entry in Pevsner's Cathedrals of England. He rates it very highly indeed; one of the "only two monuments at Hereford which are outstanding among any of their time in England". And very impressive it looks - with a frieze of weeping knights running round the base. I shall look to put something in St Thomas' article, or maybe Hereford Cathedral. All the best. Cheers, KJP1 happy memories that, I went there on a school trip in the 80s and yes, was well impressed. Another small push along the road of medievalism! serial # 10:36, 16 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
