Alleged photo of Najib, Razak and Altantuya

edit

I have removed this sentence, "and a photo of the two with Najib Razak had been taken in a Paris nightclub.". If such genuine photo existed then please provide a source. The only such photo that I know of was a fake, created by a blog. You can google to find the photo and judge it yourself.

Offering prayers for such a soul

edit
  • Can we address such a person who is reportedly killed and blown up in such a cruel and inhuman manner with prayers of 'May God Bless or Forgiveness upon you?' She is not said to be a muslim but to suffer such in my muslim locality in Malaysia i feel very saddened this happens. The trial is still on, but at least for now, we or anyone for that matter can offer prayers. - Red1 D Oon (talk) 21:49, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notability

edit

I'm kind of stumped on the subject's notability here. As Wiki's WP:1E policy states: If reliable sources only cover the person in the context of a particular event, then a separate biography is unlikely to be warranted. Altantuyaa doesn't appear to have any claim to notability beyond her murder (which is why I moved the page) and perhaps that the trial brought up the names of people in the government(?), which makes me wonder why this individual murder deserves an article.  Mbinebri  talk ← 14:41, 17 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Reverting recent edits

edit

I've just reverted a whole chunk of removed material as the original reason given for their removal is invalid. [Bernama], [Asia_Sentinel|Asia Sentinel], AFP, The Edge Daily, [The_Star_(Malaysia)|The Star] and [Sun2Surf] (The Sun) are newspapers/news sites, not blogs. "Murder of..." in title not allowed

edit

The heading is clearly non NPOV. I have moved the article Murder of Shaariibuugiin Altantuyaa to Shaariibuugiin Altantuyaa. If you wish to undertake future discussions, kindly do so on the main article page. ▒ Wirεłεşş ▒ Fidεłitұ ▒ Ćłâşş ▒ Θnε ▒ ―Œ ♣Łεâvε Ξ мεşşâgε♣ 20:56, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

The case has always been referred to as a murder, and the news articles also refer to it as such...... I feel the move is unnecessary as you are just reverting an old move (see above). I.e. see Meredith Kercher article.Zhanzhao (talk) 04:36, 15 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Per WP:BLP1E, the subject is only notable for the murder; the title type is not POV at all and is acceptable per the many similar entries in Category:Murders and the titling policy of WP:N/CA; per the latter as well, a consensus to move should have been reached first, so I moved it back. At the moment, it looks like both Zhanzhao and I support using "Murder of..." in the title and there is clearly the precedent for it.  Mbinebri  talk ← 04:48, 15 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Indeed the above was even more strange considering by that time people had already been convincted over her murder and while there was some controversy, it surrounded who was involved rather then whether she was murdered Nil Einne (talk) 22:13, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

So we can take it that if the removed content was modified and paraphrased such that information remains without being phrased exactly the content can be reverted? Zhanzhao (talk) 03:21, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Any restoration of content will have to be quite significantly re-worded to avoid copyright violations. If you like I'll have a look at the restorations you've done. --Mkativerata (talk) 06:08, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

French Bribery Probe opens, mentions murder case

edit

Just a heads up that the case has began in France, and the murder is one of the areas they will be probing. Zhanzhao (talk) 03:01, 18 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Regarding Name change of article from "Murder of.." to "Assassination of.."

edit

I reverted a previous move to label the subject as a assassination as the case has always been known as and reported as a murder. This can easily be seen from a single google search of the string of Shaariibuugiin Altantuyaa which shows results only for "Murder of". Except for this wiki article which has already been spidered.
