The murder weapon is referred to twice as a "butcher knife", including a link to the Wikipedia on that subject (which tells us butcher knives are basically only used in the meat trade - so however did a teenager get hold of one?), and once as a "kitchen knife" (which Protti could easily have found in her own home, and isn't necessarily used to cut meat - indeed, she claimed she used it to peel fruit and vegetables when travelling, which is why she supposedly had one with her in the car). Using a "butcher knife" to peel fruit and vegetables would indeed be improbable, as the police concluded - but using a "kitchen knife" for that purpose would be less so, though an ordinary knife or penknife would have done the job. In any case the alternation between the two terms is confusing, as they clearly mean different things.89.212.50.177 (talk) 12:37, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
