Not the Definition of "Hate Crime" edit

"As Bernstein was both openly gay and Jewish, authorities declared that Bernstein was a victim of a hate crime.[3]"

This statement does is not consistent with the definition of a "Hate Crime". Just because a person is "gay and Jewish" does not automatically mean that anyone that kills them is guilty of a Hate Crime, which this sentences says. For a Hate Crime to occur, the victim must be killed because they are "x and y". The hate crime quality is determined by the intent of the criminal, and not by the characteristics of the victim.Tym Whittier (talk) 02:44, 6 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Full names edit

The full name of the defendant is Samuel Lincoln Woodward. I don't know if Bernstein had a middle name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FCC8:AD08:EC00:68F7:9152:E7EB:46B6 (talk) 03:26, 12 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Can we rephrase this please? edit

authorities declared that Bernstein was a

Bit authoritarian which given the subject matter is quite insensitive. Perhaps claim, said, etc. would be more apt than declaring. --121.210.33.50 (talk) 00:01, 30 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Can we Change "Religion" to "ethnicity" edit

Because not all Jews share the faith but all sotosay the blood or ethnicity. Lovemankind83 (talk) 10:49, 24 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Unless you have a source stating that the subject was non-practicing, this doesn't seem like an important or worthwhile thing to dwell on. Zaathras (talk) 12:58, 24 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

"Alt-Right" footer missing edit

This murder is part of the Alt-Right category but the footer doesn't appear at the bottom of the page. Any reason for that, or can we just add it? 46.97.170.50 (talk) 08:38, 17 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
