Hyphens

edit

Since 1965 the hyphens have been omitted from the name to distinguish between the former Municipal Borough and the new London Borough. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.163.111.53 (talkcontribs) 10:10, 10 August 2008

Back in 2008 somebody removed the hyphens from this article, which was originally correct. The anonymous comment above explains the situation succinctly. I have attempted to explain it in the text and I shall try to take a photo of something which illustrates the point. I believe that the County Court building has the old name carved in stone on it. I must go and take a look one fine day. LynwoodF (talk) 09:23, 8 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
I have now added a photo of the County Court building. Very difficult to get – the façade is disappearing behind the trees. LynwoodF (talk) 11:27, 14 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
