This article was written four years ago with the edit sumary "First draft" by User:Ioguy NG who never made another edit. I think it has some glaring errors, like confusing the serialization/deserialization function with converting between electrical and optical or coaxial etc. Perhaps best to merge the info somewhere, or just delete it.
