I've put together a list of the published stories of Mr. A. I hope I'm correct. I don't know if any additional ones appeared after Mr. A. #2 book, other then the one in the Package. --Emb021 20:39, 1 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

The cover shown is NOT Comic Crusader #13, but the cover of Mr. A. #2 (aka, Ditko series #4). --Emb021 18 Sep 2006

Rorschach

edit
In addition, when creating the miniseries Watchmen, Moore modeled the character Rorschach on Mr. A (as well as on The Question, another comic book character created by Ditko).

This is untrue so far as I know. In Absolute Watchemn, in the outline for Rorschach, it does not even mention Mr. A. Moore's outline says that "Rorschach is the replacement for The Question." I'll need some kind of review or another Moore statement that says he based Rorschch in part on Mr. A. hbdragon88 (talk) 03:12, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Moore said so himself in BBC's In Search of Steve Ditko documentary by Jonathan Ross. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.72.165.213 (talk) 05:02, 10 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hoosiers' Goodbye Mr. A

edit

I took out a reference to the Hoosiers song Goodbye Mr. A. The song was about a secondary school teacher and is in no way related to Ditko's comic character. The confusion arises because their video includes a comic-book style superheroes including a Mr. A, although the character is totally unlike Ditko's character. 03:02, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Merge opposed. Consensus reached that characters were substantially different, not suitable for a merge. (non-admin closure) Etzedek24 (I'll talk at ya) (Check my track record) 23:26, 12 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Given the limited coverage that this character has received from sources, the overall lack of appearances, and the fact that The Question is just a censor-accepted (and more well-known) version of Mr. A, shouldn't this page be merged with Question (character)? Oppose. He's covered non-trivially in Strange and Stranger: The World of Steve Ditko so there is a basis there for an article. Etzedek24 (I'll talk at ya) (Check my track record) 01:05, 2 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
Oppose. The changes made to the character were non-trivial, as the original Mr. A was so far beyond code acceptability. Additionally, the Question has been reinterpreted constantly since his creation, while Mr. A remains as a historical artifact due to the fact that Ditko maintained control. 130.132.173.21 (talk) 21:32, 6 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
Oppose. Similar does not mean the exact same. As stated above, the differences are important and the character has received non-trivial coverage. --GentlemanGhost (séance) 14:59, 10 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
Oppose. Substantially different characters. Mr. A might be borderline in terms of encyclopedic significance, but given the significance of Ditko in the field, and the importance of the character to Ditko, I lean towards keeping them separate. --The Hanged Man (talk) 19:01, 14 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
Oppose. Both are different enough characters and notable enough in their own right that they should continue to have seperate Wikipedia articles. --Kohoutek1138 (talk) 08:38, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Oppose. They're distinct characters. If anything, some of this info could be merged into Steve Ditko. --2A00:23C4:9404:3B00:EDB2:E349:2A78:E43D (talk) 23:16, 12 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
