ISO 4217 edit

Okay, the damn thing's officially released tomorrow, so ... anyone got any clue as to what ISO code it will have? MZN for Mozambican metical nuovo? Something else? —Nightstallion (?) 21:16, 30 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I just looked on the bank site and couldn't find a thing :( Joe I 04:17, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
I've found MZN as the official code. The EU has a very good page on currencies: http://publications.eu.int/code/en/en-5000700.htmNightstallion (?) 08:55, 3 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
I think it would be safe to say that the ISO hasn’t assigned a code yet. – Zntrip 02:12, 4 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Think again. ;)Nightstallion (?) 11:13, 5 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
The old "M" to "N" trick. How could I fall for it again! :P – Zntrip 00:03, 6 July 2006 (UTC) (P.S. Wonder why it says "Last modified 2006-02-28" at the bottom...)Reply
grins Incidentally, have you heard anything about Zimbabwe or Sudan? For Sudan, I've only heard it reiterated in June that the change to the new pound would happen this year, but for Zimbabwe...? —Nightstallion (?) 12:26, 7 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I removed the very first top link to Mozambique currency since it contained Google Adsense ad on top of it and Ebay items for sale table, both commercial and both took more than half the space on the page. If user wants to provide a material to Wikipedia, their links must not contain any clickthru ads or commercial sales info. Posting links which contain clickthru ads such as Google Adsense is considered clickthru ad spamming. Audriust (talk) 20:51, 19 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image not of Metical? edit

Hi Lotje, the image of the coin that you added is a Spanish coin, I doubt that it was ever used in Mozambique and I don't think that it is a Metical. Can you please check? Teixant (talk) 08:36, 22 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Teixant, glad you came along, just wondering what the image is doing on Mozambican metical (Q200753). I'll replace it by this one immediately. Thanks again for being alert. :-) Lotje (talk) 08:41, 22 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
