At the museum at Mount Samat a Canadian flag is on display. Why is this so? The closest Canadian forces to the Philippines were in Hong Kong which, unlike Phil-US forces, surrendered quickly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.107.159.125 (talk) 09:55, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

The Canadian flag and other flags of the allies symbolize the solidarity of the allied forces against imperialist forces!

There is no problem regarding the presence of Canadian+ Nationalist Chinese flag on there, it only symbolizes the common aspirations of the allied nations to fight for a common cause of freedom. Even the Japanese flag is present because it symbolizes the presence of dead imperial army soldiers in the mountain, remember it is a memorial site for the fallen Allied or Axis alike . —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.54.68.114 (talk) 06:16, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Pronunciation

The IPA here currently has "[samat]". Please clarify it to "['samat]" or "[sa'mat]". -- Sean M. Burke (talk) 05:48, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

Splitting this article into Mount Samat & Mount Samat Shrine

I think there is a need to split this article into two separate articles: Mount Samat (geography of the mountain, etc.) and Mount Samat Shrine, which is the current focus of the present article. -- Kleomarlo (talk) 13:54, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

We should since this is more about the national shrine. I will move the article to Mount Samat National Shrine according to the National Registry of Historic Sites and Structures in the Philippines. Briarfallen (talk) 19:03, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
