To the contributors of this article - great work! I usually manage to meddle in most Tasmanian based articles but this one has sprung up without me noticing! -- Chuq 07:13, 11 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Name the bends edit

I know each bend has a different name, now just refered to by number 1 - 7, but only a few years back each bend had a sign with its original name. I know bend 5 was rifle range bend. There is also steep bend and gratted bend, but I cant remember any others.

I think bend 1 was "Big Bend". Njh 02:00, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

The names of the bends are as follows. These are from memory and old street directory. I'll need to confirm type/name and year if required. I'm not sure what years the names were active for.
- Bend 1 - Big Bend
- Bend 2 - Steep Bend ("Sheep Bend" in one old street directory)
- Bend 3 - Grating Bend
- Bend 4 - Flat Bend
- Bend 5 - Rifle Range Bend
- Bend 6 - Gully Bend
- Bend 7 - Tilleys Bend IDMSP (talk) 22:39, 27 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Well, the article didn't contain coordinates specifically for the signal station, so they can't have been erroneous. I've now added them, though. Is that what you wanted? (If you're referring to the cafe at the signal station, I don't think that merits its own set of coordinates.) Deor (talk) 19:42, 9 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

The mountain? edit

Is this article about the suburb or the mountain. I came here to find the elevation of the hill (it's not there), but if it is supposed to be about the mountain then I would say the quality of the article is not remarkable. If it's about the suburb then we could do with either an article about the mountain (obviously not the best option), or include geographical information in here.

BTW it's 352m. Somebody please add in whichever way you deem fits. Tilgrieog (talk) 14:50, 22 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
