Mother Hubbard dress vs. contemporary European women's fashions edit
The "Mother Hubbard" dress was loose at the waist (as can be seen in the photograph), and worn without corsets, so it was to some degree a compromise, or a watered-down version of full European styles. AnonMoos (talk) 18:21, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
